It really depends on what you want to keep, and if you have a sump etc.
If you have a sump then you want 10x turnover through the sump as a rule of thumb some corals like lower levels of flow, but some like many sps enjoy 30x tank turnover. it really depends on your situation

At the risk of starting an argument... You can use the canister for mechanical filtration and a carbon/GFO reactor, but you may need to add some other filtration if you plan on keeping most marine animals alive, particularly corals. I'd suggest a good HOB skimmer and refuge. Ditching the canister and adding a sump with a skimmer and a refuge in it would be better.
As to your question, I agree with Loren, it depends on the corals you wish to keep. Personally, conventional powerheads are pretty ugly in a small tank. Look at the versions that allow the motors outside the tank and couple the propeller magnetically through the glass. Kinda expensive but worth it.

I’ve currently got 2 k-nanos in my 10 plus my filter which is a total of about 660 gph in my 10g tank, but started out with a k-nano and a k-1 which was about 820 gph.
WOW... I think that’s the first time I actually looked at my total gph in the tank... It just depends on what your keeping, the placement of the power heads, and your personal preference. You want to rid your tank of any dead spots, which will help keep detritus from settling on your substrate, but you also don’t want to push your lil fishies around everywhere... That’s why I downgraded my fire fish was struggling to swim in place.

You could always go the more $$ route... a Vortech MP10 ranges from 200 to like 1400gph I’m sure you could find a happy median in there for a 60g.
Plus they just look awesome: p

I have 4 K-4's at 1200 gph each, 2 K-1's at 400 each, and the mag drive is 875 gph at 10 feet head for a total of 6475 gph. The vortechs are very cool...but expensive
